Unimore promotes Open Science, an approach to scientific process based on collaboration, open and timely sharing of research outputs, knowledge dissemination based on digital technology-based methods and transparent procedures of validation and evaluation of research outcomes.
According to the 2021 UNESCO Recommendations on Open Science, this includes all scientific disciplines and aspects of academic practices, also those of basic and applied sciences, natural and social sciences, and humanities. Its goal is to make scientific knowledge available and accessible to everyone.
The University's Library System provides the following services related to Open Science:
- Open Access: consulting and support service for publishing in open access, which makes scientific publications freely available to all.
- FAIR Data: consulting and support service in managing, archiving, and sharing research data throughout the project lifecycle.
