Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in: Health Professions (classes L/SNT1, L/SNT2, L/SNT3), Social Work (L39), Law (LMG/01), Psychology (L-24, LM-51), Sociology (LM-55, LM-62), Medicine and Surgery (LM-41), or equivalent qualifications.

Admission based on academic qualifications (degree certificate, curriculum vitae with relevant professional experience).

The course is aimed at mental health professionals working, or intending to work, in REMS facilities, correctional institutions, and community mental health services. It provides participants with knowledge and skills relevant to clinical, nursing, and rehabilitative work with offenders with mental disorders.

The course provides theoretical knowledge and practical skills on:
- legislative and organizational developments in forensic mental health care;
- elements of criminology, sociology of deviance, and forensic psychiatry;
- legal and medico-legal aspects of security measures;
- functioning and organization of REMS facilities;
- clinical, nursing, and rehabilitative activities in prison and REMS settings.
